A break between systems....

After a wet start to the day it actually cleared up a bit....

and we even saw a bit of sunshine!

all the over night rain has really done a job on the snow, making walking a little easier.

There was bird song every where, this Great Blue Heron wasn't singing of course, but was enjoying soaking up some 'rays'.

over at the log bay there was a fair amount of activity in the bushes....a Hairy Woodpecker was working out on the logs that give the bay its name, at least as far as I'm concerned...

a few of those Varied Thrush were hanging around still too....

the only water fowl of any sort were this pair of Trumpeter Swans and a pair of Mallard that were hanging out with them.

Dark-eyed Junco seemed to be just about everywhere....

A few House Finch were enjoying the sunshine too....notice the female in the background...

and just to give us all hope....

this American Robin was spotted on the way back home....spring is coming!
